I’m really glad I was selected to attend the patient-centred care course organized by the HLA. I thoroughly enjoyed it and found it extremely enlightening. The two days went by really quickly owing to how engaging the sessions were and the relaxing ambience. The course content was relevant and even applicable beyond clinical practice. The simulations were very interesting and gave me the opportunity to consolidate what I had learnt.
The facilitators were very knowledgeable and approachable, and were indeed very “participant-centred” themselves, which made for a free flow of ideas without the fear of judgement.
It has been really exciting applying what I learnt in my practice, and though I haven’t yet formally asked for feedback from my patients or conducted a survey, I have been getting a lot more smiles and thank-yous from my patients since attending the training.
It was an excellent learning experience and I would certainly recommend this training to any healthcare professional looking for a more fulfilling practice.
