Over the course of the past few days, the number of cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) within Nigeria has increased with several states across the country reporting active cases. In light of this, and to uphold our responsibility to you and to the public, today, we have had to make the very difficult decision to postpone all upcoming in-person programmes, including the Healthcare Financial Management Programme which was to commence on 2nd April 2020. At this point, we are monitoring the situation within the country, and will be communicating with you revised programme dates once we are assured that it is safe once again to convene with you in person.
We understand that these programmes have been much anticipated and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by this announcement. We are mindful of our duty of care to our participants, our team and the wider community, and though we have not taken this decision lightly, we are confident that our actions are in the interests of the public’s health and safety, and are in support of the country’s efforts to fight the spread of the virus.
As ever, we remain committed to being a source of support to you as you strive to provide much needed quality care to your communities and effective leadership and governance within your institutions. To this end, we shall continue to provide you with engaging, context-specific, and relevant content virtually to assist you to navigate these uncertain times.
We are grateful for the support that has already been shown to us by partners, faculty, and participants alike and hope for the rapid suppression of COVID-19 in Nigeria and globally. We encourage you to take preventative measures, remain up-to-date with best practices to curb the spread of the virus, and educate those around you.
