mDoc aims to optimize the end-to-end care experience for people with chronic and continuous health needs in sub-Saharan Africa and works with public, private and non-governmental organizations to deliver quality healthcare and technology solutions designed to impact lives.  

 mDoc works at the intersection of technology and quality and harnesses a user-centric approach to develop personal connected health tools (such as patient health portals) and technology platforms that connect patients with provider. mDoc utilizes its innovative geo-coded mapping tools to provide patient navigation support as well as an array of predictive opportunities for population health management, quality improvement and service interventions. In partnership with Project ECHO, mDoc also leverages technology to amplify the spread of evidence-based clinical knowledge as well as quality improvement methodologies in a cost-effective sustainable way through its 5-country Quality ECHO in Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda and Zambia.

As an Alliance, we mobilize business leaders and corporate entities to leverage their collective capabilities, expertise and resources to accelerate improvement in health outcomes through Innovation, Public-Private Partnerships, Advocacy and Impact investments.

The vision of the Alliance is to build an unprecedented, world class private sector-led coalition that focuses on accelerating improvement in health outcomes through advocacy, innovation, impact investments and partnerships to save at least one million lives of women and children and improve the quality of care in Nigeria. The Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria evolved from a Private Sector Roundtable for Health in Nigeria (PSRHN) – with a focus on polio and malaria – inspired by Mr. Bill Gates in 2010, to a country owned private sector led multi-sectoral coalition committed to improving health outcomes through innovation, advocacy, partnerships and impact investments.

The Alliance was formally endorsed by President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, launched by Mr. Bill Gates and founded by committed private and public sector leaders in Nigeria including Alhaji Aliko Dangote (Founding patron PHN, President Dangote Group), Mr. Jim Ovia (Co-chair PHN, Chairman Zenith bank, Chairman Visafone), Dr. Muhammad Ali Pate (Co-chair PHN and Former Honourable Minister of State for Health), Hajiya Amina Az-zubair (Former SA to the President of Nigeria on MDGs, SA TO UN Secretary General on Post 2015 MDGs), Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede (Board PHN, Founder Access bank), Mrs. Sola David Borha (Board PHN, CEO Stanbic IBTC) and other credible public and private sector leaders in Nigeria.

The Health Strategy and Delivery Foundation (HSDF) is a not-for-profit firm incorporated in 2013 with a mission to improve the quality of decision making and execution in the health sector.

The firm’s vision is to save lives and improve livelihoods by transforming the health and social sector landscape of Nigeria through using evidence for decision making and action, developing innovative solutions to health system problems, and cultivating a systematic culture of accountability. In doing so, it strives to address complex and fundamental health systems and development challenges in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

To achieve this vision, HSDF focuses on three key approaches to its work across the health and development sector, namely: analytics and performance management, strategic advisory services, and innovation and research.

Through analytics and performance management, HSDF supports policy makers and governments at all levels to improve accountability and performance in public health programming. HSDF’s Advisory services provide key stakeholders with substantive support in strategic planning and operational design across key programme areas (malaria, elimation of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, health financing and health service delivery).

Understanding the importance of knowledge generation and dissemination, the firm initiates and conducts implementation research that explores new areas of potential impact and also searches for and cultivates innovative solutions to challenging health systems problems.
